Products Description
The skid is designed to supply clean, dry compressed air for pneumatic instruments and valves at the gas filling station. Air compressor, air receiver, air dryer, filters, piping and valves are assembled on a single steel base as one complete package, fully assembled and tested prior to delivery. Ready for immediate operation after connection of piping and power on site.
Working Principle
Compressed air discharged from the air compressor flows in through the compressed air inlet pipe and, via the air valve, enters the operating tower of the two towers, where the moisture is absorbed by the desiccant and the air is dried. As the air passes to the top of the tower, all moisture in the air is removed, bringing the dew point down to -20°C to -40°C, thus achieving the purpose of drying. The standard full cycle takes 10 minutes, with each tower operating for 5 minutes. While one tower is in operation (operating tower), the other is under regeneration (non-operating tower), with a regeneration time of 4.5 minutes and a repressurization time of 0.5 minutes. During regeneration, a portion of the dry air from the operating tower passes through the regeneration flow control valve into the non-operating tower, carrying the moisture out of the tower into the atmosphere through the silencer. The air consumption during operation is 12% of the equipment's processing capacity.
Installation & Operation
Within the design range, the compressed air inlet temperature shall be controlled below 45°C. If the operating temperature exceeds the specified value, a pre-cooler shall be installed; otherwise the desiccant will be deactivated and the moisture removal performance will deteriorate. The dryer shall therefore be installed indoors in a well-ventilated area, and outdoor installation shall be avoided as far as possible.
The adsorption dryer shall be provided with a bypass line and bypass valve as required by production, so that continuous production will not be affected when the dryer is temporarily shut down for maintenance. Keep the dryer away from walls or other obstructions, with a clearance of at least 1 meter. Sufficient space shall be reserved for maintenance, servicing and replacement of the desiccant.
In an air line with an air receiver, the receiver shall be installed upstream of the adsorption dryer. The installation sequence downstream shall be: main line filter, then oil removal filter (oil content ≤ 0.1 mg/m³), and then the adsorption dryer.
Precautions
1.Never replace or service any component of the dryer while it is under pressure; otherwise, any resulting safety accident shall be entirely unrelated to our company, and we shall bear no responsibility.
2. Before using the equipment, carefully check the maximum allowable ambient temperature and the maximum operating pressure of the pressure vessel.
3.Do not weld, scrape, or modify the equipment at will, and do not deliberately damage or abrade the pressure vessel. If any damage to the vessel is found, contact the service organization immediately.
4. The oil content of the air entering the adsorption dryer shall be controlled below 0.1 mg/m³; otherwise, the adsorption performance and service life of the dryer will be directly affected, and the desiccant may even be poisoned and deactivated. Two oil removal filters shall be installed upstream of the dryer (oil content to be controlled below 0.1 mg/m³).
5. The adsorption dryer shall be operated under the rated temperature and pressure conditions. When the inlet air temperature is higher than, or the inlet air pressure is lower than, the rated value, temperature reduction and flow correction shall be carried out.
6. Valves shall be installed before and after the dryer. When the dryer is not in use for an extended period, the valves shall be closed to prevent the desiccant inside the vessel from absorbing moisture.
