The compressor for the CNG standard station adopts a dual-cylinder, two-stage compression design. The compression cylinders are installed vertically to prevent eccentric wear of the seals, thereby avoiding oil or gas leakage. The cylinders utilize advanced self-lubricating materials to achieve oil-free lubrication. With separate sealing for the hydraulic and gas cylinders, the natural gas is guaranteed to remain free from secondary contamination.

The power unit employs a constant-power variable displacement pump driven by an electric motor to supply hydraulic power to the cylinders. This configuration allows the unit to start without the need for pressure relief, effectively reducing gas filling costs.

Compared to conventional reciprocating compressors, hydraulic compressors offer significant advantages, including lower energy consumption, reduced noise, higher reliability, and lower maintenance costs. Our hydraulic reciprocating piston compressors feature further optimizations: a two-stage compression process, a closed-loop water cooling system, and a compact, rational structure that simplifies maintenance.

The proprietary control system provides real-time monitoring of operational status and automatically adjusts operating parameters based on site conditions. The average power consumption of the hydraulic compressor at a daughter station is approximately 0.04 – 0.06 kWh/Nm³.

The main unit is driven by two electric motors, which can operate independently or simultaneously. When running together, the two motors adopt staggered (off-peak) start-up​ to reduce the inrush starting current.

The actual operating power of the compressor is about 80% of its rated total power, resulting in lower real-world energy consumption compared with conventional mechanical compressors.
